Following the Annual General Meeting held in October 2013, it was found that very few golfers were actually from Lancashire itself so holding fixtures there for players from Yorkshire seemed a bit pointless. The decision was made to transform the name to the newly named 'Yorkshire Deaf Golf Society'. This is still an open society which welcomes members from anywhere, but fixtures will mainly be played in Yorkshire.
The aims of the Yorkshire Deaf Golf Society is to:
1) Encourage more Deaf golfers both beginners and experienced
2) Support the Deaf golfers
3) Encourage active participation through social golf
4) To oversee the growth of Yorkshire Deaf Golf Society to cater for all golfers
