The sale of the Centenary House is almost complete. It is likely the sale will be completed and the money in the hands of the Trustees by February. The new Trustees will have to consider how they use the money to ensure a good future for the Deaf Community in Leeds
Everyone was encouraged to go to an Open Consultation Meeting on Friday 27th November at Civil Hall in Leeds. There are two sessions (1pm to 3pm and 6pm to 8pm). Social Care will be seeking feedback from the Deaf Community on Deaf Services in Leeds. Some frustration was expressed that this meeting had not yet been properly communicated to the Deaf community buy Social Care and some dissatisfaction expressed at the quality of service provided by B.I.D. /D.A.L.E.S.
Murray Holmes stepped down as chairman as he has now moved to Wales.
